We invite you to a very special live music event – “Tunes & Tastings” to be held in the Tasting Room at Kilaurwen Winery on Saturday, January 27th from 2 to 4pm. (*doors will open at 1:30 for seating ahead of performance)
“Tunes and Tastings” will be a benefit music performance to raise funds for the Greene Care Clinic. The musicians are donating their performance and Kilaurwen is donating wines to be tasted. One hundred percent of funds raised will go entirely to the clinic.
Tickets are $15 and include a wine tasting. Tickets are available by phone (434) 985-2535 or by email at info@kilaurwenwinery.com.
Due to space constraints, there are limited seats for this event, please do not delay if you would like to attend.
From Brian Kavolius, member of the ensemble, “This is a “Once-Only" ensemble made up of professional musicians who perform with the United States Navy Fleet Bands* and music educators local to the area, including Nick Matherne, who is the Director of Music at William Monroe High School. These musicians will present an eclectic selection of works for brass, piano, and voice before dis"band"ing to their next assignments. All of the musicians involved are thrilled to get the chance to work with each other in their off-duty time at the Kilaurwen Winery to make great music and support an even greater cause.” (*this is not an official US Navy Band function)
Proudly performing at this benefit…
Dr. Carrie Blosser- Trumpet
Brian Kavolius- Horn
Nick Matherne- Voice, Low Brass
John D Drumheller- Piano, Arranger
