We The Wine People Screening at Violet Crown on October 7
Join the Monticello Wine Trail and Filmmaker Chrisa Giorgi at Violet Crown Theater for a special screening of We the Wine People.
A documentary celebrating the people, passion, and stories shaping Virginia wine.Following the film, enjoy an included tasting featuring wines from Monticello AVA wineries highlighted in the documentary in the Violet Crown café, with several of the featured winemakers joining us to share their wines and stories.
Celebrate Virginia Wine Month with an evening of film, wine, and community along with some of the winemakers from the film!.
Must be 21+ to participate in the wine tasting.

Join us Thursday, June 25 from 6:30–9:00 PM for an intimate Winemaker Dinner at Birdwood Mansion at Boar’s Head Resort as part of Monticello Wine Week.
Hosted in one of Charlottesville’s most beautiful historic settings, the evening begins with a 30-minute cocktail reception followed by a thoughtfully curated four-course dinner created in collaboration with the culinary team at Birdwood Mansion and leading wineries from the Monticello AVA.
Each course will be paired with wines and stories from participating wineries including King Family Vineyards, Hark Vineyards, Flying Fox Vineyard, Septenary Winery, Eastwood Farm and Winery, and Blenheim Vineyards.
This immersive dining experience celebrates the depth, craftsmanship, and collaborative spirit of Virginia wine country through exceptional food, wine, and conversation.

Our signature event of the week takes place on the tented turf lawn and brings together 25+ wineries for a walk-around tasting. Enjoy an elevated cookout-style evening with live music as we announce the Monticello Cup winner.
Boar’s Head Resort will also offer lodging packages that bundle room nights with Wine Week experiences, including access to this event.

Should weather not permit for the event to be outdoors, the event will be moved inside to the Pavilion at Boar's Head Resort. Tickets are non-refundable.
