King Family Vineyards
King Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located in Crozet, just fifteen minutes from Charlottesville at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The winery specializes in the production of ultra-premium wine that showcase the remarkable quality and terroir of the Monticello AVA. Beginning with carefully selected estate grapes, winemaker Matthieu Finot creates wines inspired by the old world, but are uniquely expressive of Virginia. Our passion is the customer, our craft is the wine.
The covered veranda, expansive lawn, and brick patio are all perfect for outdoor picnics while the Tasting Room and warm stone fireplace are inviting on cooler days.

Winemaking Philosophy:
Our philosophy at King Family Vineyards is simple: making great wine requires exceptional fruit. Starting with exceptional fruit allows our winemaker, Matthieu Finot, the ability to minimally intervene in the development of the wines. As a “non-interventionist” his role is to supervise how the fruit expresses itself as it is made into wine. This style encourages greater complexity and balance, and results in wines that best reflect the importance of the terroir.

Reservations are not required to visit and guests are welcome anytime during business hours to enjoy wine tasting flights or wine by the glass or bottle. All of our indoor and outdoor seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Please note that open wine sales stop 30 minutes prior to closing.

Vineyard & Winery Tour:
We invite our guests to take a behind-the-scenes look at King Family Vineyards during our Vineyard & Winery Tours. The tour includes a brief history of the King Family and Roseland Farm, a visit to one of our vineyards to discuss grape production in Virginia, as well as a visit to our winery's Tank Room & Barrel Room. The fee includes a glass of Brut on arrival and one Classic Tasting per guest following the tour. These tours are available each Saturday and Sunday beginning promptly at11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00 pm. The fee is $50 per person and the tour is approximately one hour. We recommend bringing a light jacket as the winery is often quite cool. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the tour time and check in with the greeter. Reservations are required for the tour and can be made online at: https://www.exploretock.com/kingfamilyvineyards/
Event Policies:
Public: Tasting room open until 8:30pm every Wednesday, with music on the first Wednesday of each month. Polo Sundays run Memorial Day – mid-October (weather permitting)
Private: Space available for private parties and weddings.
Food Available: A selection of pre-packaged local meats and cheeses is available.
Pet Policy: Leashed dogs allowed outside. Registered service animals are allowed inside.
