Cunningham Creek Winery at Middle Fork Farm

We are a family owned and operated boutique winery located just 12 miles from Thomas Jefferson’s original vineyard.  Beginning in 2012, we transformed a historic cattle and hay farm into a working vineyard.  The first vines were planted in 2013, followed by our tasting room in 2016 and winery in 2017.  Today we have approximately 13 acres of French varietals, which have now produced award winning and estate wines.  Bruce, our winemaker, was mentored by and continues to work closely with Matthieu Finot, a leading VA winemaker.  Our tasting room was carefully designed to be a welcome place despite VA’s chaotic weather—inside we have ample seating and a wood burning fireplace; outside we have a large deck, lawn area, firepits and cornhole games.

Winemaking Philosophy:
At Cunningham Creek Winery we strive to make wines that delight the pallet, allow the grapes to shine, and pair well with laughter and friendship.  To that end, we focus on French varietals. We nurture the fruit in our vineyard as well as select quality fruit from our partner vineyards.  Our winemaking practices balance new and old-world styles to produce truly enjoyable single varietals and blends.

Tasting Fees:
$10 including souvenir glass

Group Tasting Policy:
Groups of 8 or more are $12/person, reservations required at least 24 hours in advance.

Winery and vineyard tours (weather permitting): Reservations only, $22/person

Food Available:
Cheeses, meats, hummus, local treats including chocolate, pies, peanuts, and dog biscuits.
