Governor's Cup Case Consumer Tasting @ Barboursville Vineyards, King Family Vineyards, Trump Winery, Veritas Vineyards & Winery

For the first time, VWA will be holding a Governor’s Cup Case and Best in Show cider tasting for consumers. The tasting will be in person at multiple host wineries in various regions through a virtual presentation with live host Jay Youmans, Master of Wine. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 29th 6:30 to 8:30.

The program will begin with tasting the Best in Show Cider and light refreshments then once guests are settled, we will begin the virtual tasting program of the 12 Governor’s Cup Case wines using a souvenir logoed Riedel glass. Jay Youmans, MW and judging director for the competition, will serve as host and moderator. Clips from each case winning winery will be shown then each of the Governor’s Cup Case winemakers will address questions. Guests will be able to purchase the host’s wines to enjoy at home.

Guests can safely enjoy this exclusive event with the assurance of COVID-19 social distancing guidelines being met and limited attendance at each location. At no other time are all these wines able to be tasted together in one place. The take home Riedel glass is the same glass the high caliber judges use during the competition.

To purchase tickets, visit this link and select the location where you wish to do your tasting. Tickets are $95 plus tax per person with very limited space available at each location.
