Veritas Vineyard & Winery
For 25 years, Veritas has been a family-owned and run vineyard and winery nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 30 minutes from Charlottesville. Throughout the years, we have planted, cultivated, and harvested over 5,000 tons of grapes. With more than 60 acres of vines and eleven different types of grape varieties Veritas has become a household name simply because of the outstanding quality of wines produced. Winemaker Emily, daughter to owners Andrew and Patricia Hodson, combines traditional methods with cutting-edge technology to preserve each varietal's authentic essence and unique character. In every sip of Veritas wine, experience the artistry of winemaking tailored for your enjoyment. Twenty-five years later, we still strive to bring vibrant wine to our local communities and beyond. Winemaking Philosophy:
Although the name derives from the Roman historian Pliny the Elder’s observation: “In Vino Veritas” ~ “In Wine There Is Truth,” we believe that the truth in our wine is in our grapes. Veritas remains True to the terroir and the varietal and makes wine that is an authentic expression of the beautiful place that they are grown.

Sparkling: Traditinal method sparkling wine made from Chardonnay
Whites: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, White Star (white blend), Petit Manseng (Off-dry white), Kenmar
Rosé
Reds: Red Star (red blend), Claret (Bordeaux-style blend), Merlot, Vintner’s Reserve
Dessert: Othello (Port-style wine)

Daily: 11am-5pm
Tasting fee: $20 -$40 /person
Group Policy: Groups of 7+ people are requested to make reservations with 48 hours advance notice.
Event Policies:
Public: Starry Nights Summer Music Series, Annual Supper Series, New Year's Eve Masked Ball, Veritas Illuminated walking light trail, winemaker dinners, special vertical and library tasting, and exclusive wine club member gatherings and tastings.
Private: Indoor and outdoor spaces are available for private events and weddings. For events larger than 50 people, contact events@veritaswines.com or (540) 456-8000 ext. 107. For events smaller than 50 people, contact farmhouse@veritasfarmhouse.com or (540) 456-8100.
Food Available: Cheese and charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and salads available. Own food may be brought but must be consumed outside of the Tasting Room.
