Jefferson Vineyards

In 1774, Thomas Jefferson and Italian Filippo Mazzei established vineyards on land adjoining Monticello – the site of present day Jefferson Vineyards, Virginia’s premiere small production winery.

Over thirty four years, this family owned winery and vineyard has bottled award-winning Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Viognier, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Blockbuster wines include Estate Reserve, Meritage and Virginia’s first Petit Verdot.

Pack a picnic and enjoy our wines with enchanting pastoral views from our deck and outdoor seating areas. You can also visit our neighbor across the street, Salt Artisan Market, for delicious locally sourced sandwiches and salads.
